Jack and the Beanstalk Vintage Children's Birthday Card with Story Pages
4.75 x 6 inches (12 x 15 cm)
Front of card shows Jack in a red and blue outfit with brown boots, sliding down the beanstalk.
The castle is in the distance far above him.
He is holding a chicken hen and a little cat is on the ground beside him.
A woman is standing in front of a thatched roof cottage.
The back of the card has a hen wearing a bonnet that has apparently just laid a golden egg.
Inside the card the printed message reads, "Hope your Birthday's loads of fun,
As happy as can be,
That's the wish of everyone,
Especially JACK and ME!"
Handwritten note reads, "Bob & Connie"
Illustrations inside include what appears to be Mother scolding Jack on one side, and some flowers growing on the other side.
Also included is a separate printed insert that tells the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.
It is illustrated as well.
