Globe has been tested and as you can see in the pics it works. The globe takes effort to rotate - best to hold the stand with one hand and rotate with the other hand. It can rotate clockwise or counter clockwise it does not free spin, you can move the viewfinder to corresponding white dot to show a tiny slide from that region of the world.
